Real Irish Turf Fire at The Surfer's House Portrush

One of the most popular features of the house is our first floor living room with its stove. I actually gather turf from the fields when I'm on surf trips and bring it back to dry out in the garage for the fire. There is nothing quite like the smell of an Irish Turf fire hanging in the air on a cold winters day. It's something I personally love about this country and being able to collect it myself and let our guests experience it is great. I took a crew of Americans that were staying at the house along for a sightseeing trip and surf with me one day and afterwards we collected some turf and they burned it on the fire that night in The Surfer's House. They loved it!
